I usually have a folder for lists up to Christmas… red or green.. influenced by the Holly/Ivy/berries. As we came into the room an amazing spectacle greeted! Low winter sunlight poured in & beat through the red folder I’d created but not started to fill! It formed angular shapes & shadows across the carpet & up a door… shades of deep ruby red to pale crimson…. enhanced by the grey hues of the carpet & the doors’ paintwork…. such perfect straight lines you’d imagine Nature has a ruler….
