St Catherines Castle canvas
St Catherines Castle, a Henrician stone fortification with five gun-ports for cannon, overlooks the mouth of the River Fowey in Cornwall. Built between 1538 and 1540, it is one of a pair of small artillery forts built by Henry VIII to defend Fowey Harbour. With its ruined walls and Cornish seaside village backdrop, the castle makes for a stunning Cornish Seascape captured perfectly in this aerial photography. As the sun rises, the castle and harbour come to life with the boats heading out to sea
