Derwent Dam, The Peak District, Sheffield canvas
The Derwent Dam in the Derwent Valley, in the Peak District, Near Sheffield. The Dam was used for low level flying by the aircrews of the Lancaster Bombers during WWII in preparation for the dam-busters raid in Germany. The location is still used today by the RAF for low level practice.
