Birnbeck Island at Golden Hour canvas
Birnbeck Island is connected to the mainland by a derelict pier and homes an old disused lifeboat station. It lies in the Bristol Channel, off Weston Super Mare in the west of England. The pier is Listed for architectural significance but is also currently listed on the buildings at risk register. The dereliction is attractive and catches the evening light which colours the ironwork and wood in golden light against the blue sea, and brings life to the red door of the lifeboat house.
