Hidden in the woodland that has grown since the quarry closed, there is an old mansion at Dorothea Slate Quarry in Wales which nature is quickly reclaiming. Attached to this sprawling mansion is the owners own private chapel which underlines the wealth of the gentry and contrasts sharply with the bleak conditions the owner's workers lived and toiled under. A black and white rendition gives it a slightly spooky Gothic feel.
