London Dock Entrance, Wapping, London. 1940 canvas
This was a painting that took me 3 months to complete, it shows all the wharves from Olivers Wharf on the right, London Dock Entrace, Black Eagle Wharf and others. it was painted on a large 100 by 80 cm canvas and I must say one of my best paintings of Wapping, you can enjoy it in print or printed canvas. Wapping was originally a Saxon settlement, believed to be that of Waeppa's people, hence the name Wapping. During my time in Wapping I worked with the late Historian. Madge Darby,
