Wheal Betsy mine Dartmoor canvas
Wheal Betsy is a former tin mine, and the last standing engine house in Dartmoor. It lies on the moors near Mary Tavy and although Wheal Betsy with its precariously leaning chimney looks like a typical tin mine engine house it was reopened for the purpose of mining silver, copper, and lead, though some small quantities of arsenic were also found.
