There was an inversion the morning I got to Mam Tor. I arrived in the dark and saw this scene early in the morning after the sun had risen past the horizon. The clouds were pouring over the ridge at Mam Tor. It looked quite surreal. Normally the whole of the ridge can be seen far into the distance. This is a popular walk for hikers to the Peak District, but not on this occasion.
