Berry Head Fort Brixham acrylic
Built between 1795 and 1805, Berry Head Forts were used to protect Tor Bay during the French Wars of 1793 to 1815. Tor Bay was used to anchor and resupply the British Fleet. Sited high on the cliffs of Berry Head, they were never used for battle and were dismantled in 1817. The headland and forts provide exceptional views of Tor Bay and The English Riviera.
